The kids are getting older. The eldest two are understandably weirded out by the idea that I might blog about them, or what they're up to, except in the most general of terms. I think booklists might be permitted :)
Yoshi - yep, he upgraded himself from Tintin's doggy side-kick - is the only child left too young to object to parental bloggish exploitation.
He's my little engineer. Man, the things he builds on Minecraft! In an effort to make school more hands-on for him, this summer term we're starting a new thang - Computer Science and Engineering Fridays.
I hope to post our Engineering Friday projects once a week, starting this coming Friday. It's nice to be home.
Heh. I find that life encompasses so many things, that as much as I want a "Oh, so pretty, Pagan blog!" I can't do that, because my spirituality connects with life in general, and then there's homeschooling/raising Gavin, which is, um, EVERYTHING in life most of the time!
ReplyDeleteSo the only topic-specific blogs I keep are for genealogy and writing, and those can be pretty diverse as far as what I have to say. On the writing one, I tackle a tiny bit of real life, a tiny bit about writing itself, and a tiny bit about reading and/or reviewing.
Anyhow, I'm babbling. :)
Ahhh, Minecraft! I love the versatility of it, and some weeks I can just play all day long. Heh heh heh. But it's exciting to me to build whole cities with castles, temples, mansions, roads, cottages, gardens, and more.
I bet Yoshi has a grand time with it!
Ooh, I like that idea: Computer Science and Engineering Fridays. Very nice. Our big thing for the Gavinator has always been art. What I love about homeschooling is encouraging their interests.
He's built some very nice mosaic bathrooms :-) I hope one day these designs translate into the desire to build mum a house!
